As we get closer to Christmas and New Year my thoughts usually do a review of this year and make plans for next year. Every New Year, I don't do a traditional New Year's Resolutions list but make a list of things that I know I enjoy, wish to try, want to experience, places I would love to visit, etc. I try to tick these off throughout the year and, if I love something, I put that on the next year to remind myself to do it again. I guess I focus on putting things 'into' the next year 'rather than the feeling of 'taking things out' like cutting out chocolate or giving up alcohol.
I have lived in Chilcompton for approx 20 years now and started my private practice there in 2012. Seems ages ago but also I still feel quite new to this as every new client brings something amazing. I am still learning about people with every session that I do.
I used to have a dog called Pepper which passed away in July 2025. She was a rescue dog and used to watch clients come and go. Such a lovely dog and part of our family.
Now, we seem to have a hedgehog that visits us nightly for feeding. I put out water and special hedgehog food. His (or her) thank you message seems to be a small pile of hedgehog poo neatly deposited by our front door. Lovely.
